The paper group based in Porcari (Lucca) presents in Bologna its first line of tissue and household paper products made with a percentage of bamboo fiber.

Sofidel, a world leader in the production of paper for hygienic and domestic use, will be attending the international trade fair Marca 2026 in Bologna on January 14 and 15. This is a benchmark event for the world of "private label" consumer products (retailer brands).

Sofidel will be present at Hall 30 – Stand A19–B20 with an immersive and interactive booth showcasing the Group’s history, values, and future vision. Various LED walls will project themed videos dedicated to the Group’s founding values: loyalty and transparency, pragmatism and foresight, humility and courage, innovation and quality.

Inside the stand, visitors can explore the milestones of Sofidel's history — from its beginnings in the 1960s to its current global presence, with production plants in 12 countries, a production capacity approaching 2 million tons per year, and 9,600 employees worldwide — leading up to the Group's 2050 vision focused on decarbonization, the circular economy, and responsible innovation.

"For years, we have offered retailers in Italy and abroad innovative, sustainable private label products at an affordable price, certified by Sofidel's quality guarantee," commented Enzo Ricci, Vice President – Marketing & Sales Private Label at Sofidel. "This is what we will continue to do in the coming months and years, accelerating responsible innovation with a range of products that are increasingly high-performing and attentive to emerging consumer needs."

In particular, Sofidel will present the "Nicky Nature Bamboo" line, consisting of toilet paper and tissues made of pure cellulose with 10% bamboo fiber. Bamboo is a naturally sustainable raw material due to its rapid growth (up to 1 meter per day), high CO₂ absorption (up to 150 tons per hectare per year), and reduced water and energy requirements during the production process.

Products in the "Nicky Nature Bamboo" line are dermatologically tested, soft, and resistant, and feature 100% recyclable paper packaging (instead of conventional plastic).

Sofidel's presence at the Marca fair also marks the start of celebrations for the Group's 60th anniversary, which will see the launch of a series of initiatives throughout 2026.
