Valmet has been selected to replace five existing tissue machine shoe presses with its state-of-the-art Advantage ViscoNip press technology for Lee & Man Paper Manufacturing Ltd. in China. The rebuilds will be carried out at the mills in Chongqing, Jiangxi and Guangdong.

ANDRITZ, which supplied the technology and developed the new biological sludge drying plant for Eldorado Brasil Celulose’s pulp mill in Três Lagoas, Brazil, celebrated the plant’s successful start of operations. This project represents another step forward in Eldorado’s strategies to transform waste into energy and enhance the environmental efficiency of its operations.

Valmet will start change negotiations in accordance with the Finnish Co-operation Act on November 10, 2025, concerning temporary layoffs in parts of its operations in Finland. The planned measures aim to adjust capacity and improve cost efficiency of the Packaging and Paper business area and the Global Supply unit. These organizations have already implemented similar measures earlier this year and last year to adapt to the changed market situation.

Valmet will deliver a Quality Control System (QCS) to Metsä Tissue’s Mariestad mill in Sweden. The intelligent system will support the performance and ensure quality of the mill’s tissue machine PM 35.

Toscotec will supply a complete rebuild of PM3’s drying section to Papeterie le Bourray mill in Saint-Mars-la-Brière, France. This marks a repeat order for Toscotec, following the successful PM4 rebuild in 2020 where a new headbox helped the mill achieve its target.

ANDRITZ has been selected to supply a new recovery boiler for Century Pulp and Paper’s mill in Lalkuan, Uttarakhand, India. It will replace one of the existing recovery boilers, increasing the mill’s green energy production. Start-up is scheduled for the first quarter of 2027.
